What furniture should you select for your garden? Well, that depends on several factors, including your own personal tastes and preferences. Here are some tips to help you choose the best garden furniture for your landscape.

Garden Style: Consider the style of garden you have created. You'll want to choose garden furniture which blends into that style. For example, an oriental garden should have minimalist, clean-lines in the furniture. An English garden would look best with ornate weatherproof wicker. You get the idea.
Weather: Decide whether you will leave the garden furniture out all year long or if you only want to place it outdoors during pleasant weather. If you live in an area where the weather in winter is really harsh, you may well select lighter weight furniture for the garden and take it indoors as soon as the weather cools down. However, if you live in warmer climates, you may want furniture in the garden which remains outdoors year round. For furniture which must weather the entire year outside, choose sound construction and be sure it is completely weatherproof. Today, almost any material is available with full weatherproofing.

Construction: While you want to remain inside your budget, you also want to ensure qualify. A bargain isn't a real bargain if it falls apart after a year or two. Compromise by choosing quality at low prices by shopping off-season or at discount stores. You can frequently get great deals on slightly imperfect garden furniture but be sure the imperfection isn't in a location which will cause you to enjoy it less or notice it every time you sit outside in the garden.

Price: Sure, all but a fortunate few must establish and stay within a budget when buying garden furniture. Shop at sales early in the season or buy next year's garden furniture upgrades in early fall when stores are clearing out summer stock. You may want to splurge on specific items which you know you will use a great deal such as a dining table with umbrella and chair; then you can combine your select pick with less expensive items to blend into the garden setting.
Size and Scale: Consider your own personal size and dimensions. Tall, statuesque people are not comfortable in dainty furniture in the garden or elsewhere. Heavier people need sturdier furniture.
